New York State Economy Attaining New Record High – 13,200 Private Sector Jobs In December 2015

The Department of labor in United States had a survey on employment in New York, NY on January 2016. In December 2015, private sector job count increased by 13,200 or 0.2% to 7,880,000 in New York State. The New York State Department of Labor, announced an initial figures on employment today. According to the initial figures released, an extraordinary new record had been achieved. The New York economy has added more than 769,700 private sector Jobs in the state and also experienced an employment growth in 52 months out of the past 60 months, during the tenure of New York State governor Andrew M. Cuomo’s administration.

In December 2015, the statewide unemployment rate is not affected and remained unchanged at 4.8%. And also in addition, the New York State’s unemployment rate remains constant and it is below the national unemployment rate of 5.0% in December 2015.
The U.S Department of Labor’s Bureau of Statistics conducted a survey with 18,000 private sector job employers in New York, NY and announced that the New York private sector job count is based on payroll system. The labor statistics of monthly payroll employment estimates are initial statistics and when more data becomes available, and then they are subjected to revise on following month.

Based on the results of the current population survey, New York State’s unemployment rate is calculated by the Federal Government.
